In a unanimous decision (8-0), the Prince William County School Board has embraced a comprehensive Return to Learning Plan for the upcoming academic year. The subsequent goal is a strategic transition to a 50% capacity model during the second quarter, with the flexibility for students to continue virtual participation.
Outlined in the plan is a thoughtful consideration for special education students based on their Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams’ recommendations. Additionally, in-person services will be explored for the most vulnerable English Language Learners and students with interrupted learning, contingent upon instructional appropriateness and feasibility.
